3 things

"What can I do?"

I get this question a lot during my 1:1 advising calls.

I respond with three things people can do that will make a huge positive impact:

1. Eat a plant-based diet. Animal agriculture is one of the biggest drivers of emissions, deforestation, and water use. You don't have to be perfect. Just shift your diet.

2. Compost. Food waste in landfills produces methane. Composting returns nutrients to soil. It's unglamorous and it works.

3. Move your money. Big banks fund fossil fuels. Let me say that again, big banks fund fossil fuels. Credit unions and community banks keep capital local and out of extractive industries.

Systemic change is the goal. But, while we push for that, these are three individual AND effective actions that actually move the needle.

None of these actions replace policy and government regulations. These three actions are real. We can all easily start here.
